About Me
- The Schumachers
- We were married on June 18th surrounded by all our friends and family. We live in Oklahoma and love it. It is beginning to feel more and more like home. I love the trees, our church and the people! Everyone has made us feel so welcome and a part of this community. We both have great jobs, that we love going to every day! Life is good, God is good!!

wedding party...
The kids made this day so cute!! I don't know why or when people started using kids in weddings... but they were brilliant!

Our wedding party was amazing!! We each picked 3 of our favorite people on the planet and decided to ask them to stand up with us... begging them to hold us accountable and pray for us as we venture into this new world we call Marriage! Not ONLY are they fabulous people but they are smoking hot!! They really added to the beauty of the whole day. Thank you Andrea, Kellie, Sara, Jorge, Tony, Jeremy, Brandon, Jeff, Emma Jane, Kenedi and Benjamin!! Our day was made amazing because you were each in it! We love you!!

Our families were amazing!! Through our dating, engagement and the wedding... they all encouraged us each of the way. When it felt like everyone else was against us ... they were for us! They have set examples for us of how a marriage is to look and work. Both of our parents have been marred to each other ... only each other! Putting only Christ before their spouse. Than you to the Hunts and the Schumachers for all their unconditional support and love! We love you guys!!

Here we are ... just us. We broke tradition and decided to see each other before the wedding. This was a great opportunity, because it gave us the chance to handle some of our emotions and really enjoy the wedding ceremony!!

Getting ready can be hard work... but so much fun!
Here are the pictures of me getting ready... it was so much fun!! I felt very pampered and we had a blast! Everyone was cool, calm and collected.

Prince Humperdink: Skip to the end…
Clergyman: Have you the wing?

Prince Humberdink: Man and wife. Say man and wife.
Clergyman: Man an' wife.
Although our wedding didn’t go quite like this … it is still and forever will be one of my favorite scenes from a movie. The movie in case you didn’t know is Princess Bride. During the ceremony the beloved Wesley is desperately trying to rescue his Bride from the nasty Prince Humperdink. Prince Humperdink tries just as desperately to encourage the Clergyman to speed things right along. Even though our wedding wasn’t nearly this dramatic… it was eventful and memorable.
Here is the video for our wedding… there is NOTHING I would change. The quality has been damaged due to the converting process but you will get the general gist of it. Let me know what you think.
The minister was Jeff Berg one of Andrew’s buddies and the youth pastor at our church Grace Community. My Maids of Honor were Andrea (Price) Seabrook, we have been friends sense the first day of kindergarten, Kellie (Parker) Burns, we have also been friends for most of more of my life than we weren’t and Sara Schumacher, Andrew’s precious sister who came all the way from Scotland to be a part of our special day. Andrews best man was Jorge Galvan, they don’t know how or where they met they just know they are friends, Jeremy Mathews, one of Andrew’s friends and roomates during and after college and Tony Sanchez, one of Andrew’s friends from back home in Silaom Springs. Our flower girls were Kenedi Burns, daughter of one of my MOH Kellie and like a niece to me and Emma Jane Donely, one of my little cousins who I am very close to. Our ring bearer was Benjamin Donely, Emma’s little brother who I am also very close to. My girls and Andrew’s guys were phenomenal. It was so fun to watch the “wedding” come together. My aunt, Ettie, and her best friend, Shona , coordinated the event and did a great job getting everyone in their place at the right time. Our parents were amazing and so supportive of everything.
Special thanks goes out to everyone, the kids, coordinators, friends and family that helped to make this day a dream come true for Andrew and myself.
((Go put some popcorn on, tinkle and get comfy… this is going to be a long video but well worth it!))
I am looking forward to seeing everyone now that life has settled down. We are getting into our little routine and becoming familiar with words such as husband and wife, we, spouse, budget, compromise… and so on. It has been a fun change and an exciting adjustment. I’m sure that life will be continually changing form this day on… I can’t imagine doing this life with anyone other than Andrew. He is my prince charming riding high on his white horse. He is the perfect man for me. The one who God created just for me and me for him!
Well enough of that rambling!! Enjoy the video! Give me your input.

Everything is bigger...
Everything is bigger in Texas…
They say that everything is bigger and better in Texas. I was reminded of this today when I went looking for a snack. Here at work we have a snack shack where for under a dollar you can satisfy any of your latest cravings. They have everything from fruit to snickers to a coke (or pop) if you are thirsty.
I decided that I was leaning on the sweeter side of things this morning so I reached for a cinnamon roll. Here is what I found…
At first, my Texas pride swelled up inside me. YEAH!! A taste of home!! I thought for sure as soon as I bit into this BIG TEXAS Cinnamon roll I would be flooded with emotions and memories of days gone by. However, my first instinct was … really… Texas… I’m disappointed. Once I got past the first bite and discovered the slightest bit of icing to cover the cardboard tasting “roll” there was a brief feeling of satisfaction. But it was very brief… I thought to myself… surly the middle will make up for the rest (Everyone knows that the middle is the best part of the cinnamon roll) however, it was just more solid cardboard. Anyways, I ate it all. (Heaven forbid I waist $.50!!) It was a disappointment and for the FIRST time possibly EVER I was disappointed that I claimed to be a Texan.
There are some things that make Texas a great place to live… But Texas you have let me down this once… Please find a way to redeem yourself … today if possible!
